What Changed in the Latest Updates

The September 2026 Pixel Watch update expands one-hand gestures and adds Gemini personalization; the newest Fitbit releases are smaller. Google's notes, condensed:

• Pixel Watch 2, 3 and 4, September 2026 (Wear OS 7): a double pinch now opens At a Glance and the notification center from the watch face, scrolls Gemini responses, Wallet cards and workout metrics, switches Google Maps views and manages the Recorder app, and a wrist turn works as a universal back gesture. Google marks the gestures "Available only on Pixel Watch 3 and newer" and the raise-to-talk improvements "Available on Pixel Watch 4 and newer". Gemini personalization learns from past conversations and connected apps such as Gmail and Calendar.
• Fitbit 220.31 (Charge 6, Inspire 3, Sense 2, Versa 4): bug fixes and improvements on all four. Charge 6 also adds support for unencrypted connections, so its real-time heart rate displays on more types of fitness equipment, and 3 new clock faces.
• Fitbit 214.24 (same four models): status indicators on the device. Charge 6 and Inspire 3 also get new Bluetooth security features, switched on by reconnecting the device when the Google Health app prompts you.
• Google Fitbit Air 253.2: bug fixes and improvements.
• Ace 3 (1.134.84) and Inspire 2 (1.124.84): the manufacturer's name on the device changes to Google LLC.

How Google Rolls Updates Out

Google releases Fitbit and Pixel Watch updates in phases, so your device can get a version after it appears here. Google sends Fitbit updates "to everyone gradually over time"; if none is available, check again later. The September Pixel Watch rollout "will continue over the coming weeks in phases depending on carrier and device", with a notification on the watch when its update is ready. Below 50% battery, a Pixel Watch waits and installs on its own once it passes 50%.

Which Pixel Watch Models Still Get Updates

Google guarantees Pixel Watch software updates for at least 3 years from when each model first went on sale in the US Google Store, so Pixel Watch 2's guarantee runs to at least October 2026.

Model	Released	Updates guaranteed until at least
Pixel Watch 5	October 2026	October 2029
Pixel Watch 4	October 2025	October 2028
Pixel Watch 3	October 2024	October 2027
Pixel Watch 2	October 2023	October 2026
Pixel Watch	October 2022	October 2025

The first Pixel Watch is past its October 2025 date, though Google posted a March 2026 modem update for it. Google's June 2026 post prints "Pixel Watch (LTE)" and "Pixel Watch (BTWifi)" builds while naming only Pixel Watch 2, 3 and 4 as eligible, so those builds stay out. We found no Google end date for Fitbit updates.
