Gadget247News collects very little about you. We run no analytics, show no ads, set no cookies of our own and have no sign-up forms. This page explains what happens when you visit, what happens when you email us, and what will change before we ever add analytics or ads.

Who We Are

Gadget247News is owned and run by Suraj Giri. The site helps you fix, set up and update your smartwatch, fitness tracker, smart ring, earbuds and headphones. For anything about your privacy, email info@gadget247news.com.

What We Collect

We receive personal information in two ways only.

When you visit a page. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, Cloudflare processes each request, including your IP address, the page you asked for, your browser type and the time. We keep basic request logs from our hosting so we can find and fix errors. We don't use these logs to build a profile of you or to follow you across other sites.

When you email us. If you write to info@gadget247news.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. We use it to answer you. If you report an error, we also use it to check and fix the page and to record the change in our corrections log.

The site has no accounts, logins, comments, contact form or newsletter sign-up, so there is nowhere on it to enter personal details.

What We Don't Do

At launch, Gadget247News:

  • runs no analytics tools and no tracking pixels
  • shows no ads and works with no ad network
  • sets no cookies of its own
  • loads no scripts from other companies, and serves its fonts from its own site
  • has no newsletter (see the newsletter page)
  • does not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone

Cookies and Local Storage

We set no cookies of our own. At launch, no cookie notice appears, because there is nothing for it to describe.

If we switch on analytics or ads later, a notice will appear at the bottom of the page and ask you to choose. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (a small store of settings kept on your own device), not in a cookie, and it never leaves your device. We will update this page before that happens.

Our guides link to official support pages from Apple, Samsung, Google, Garmin, Oura and other makers, and sometimes to news sites. When you follow a link, you are on that company's site, and its own privacy policy applies. We don't control what those sites collect.

Who Receives Your Information

  • Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes page requests as described above. Cloudflare's own privacy policy explains how long it keeps that data.
  • The service that hosts our mailbox stores the emails you send us.
  • Authorities, only if a law or a valid legal request requires it.

Nobody else receives your information.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your emails as long as needed to answer you and keep the corrections record. Hosting logs stay with Cloudflare, which keeps them for the periods set out in its own privacy policy. We don't copy them anywhere else.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you (in practice, the emails you sent us)
  • correct it
  • delete it

Email info@gadget247news.com from the address you used, or tell us which address to search for. We answer requests from anyone, wherever you live. Some US states, such as California, give their residents these rights by law. We give the same rights to everyone, and we won't treat you differently for asking.

Because we don't sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of today. If that ever changes, a clear opt-out will appear on this page first.

Children

Gadget247News is not aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. The only personal information we receive is email that someone chooses to send. If a child has emailed us, a parent can ask us to delete it.

Keeping Your Information Safe

Pages are served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. We never need passwords, serial numbers or account details to help you with a fix, so please don't send them by email.

Changes to This Policy

The date at the top of this page shows the last change. We will update this policy before we switch on analytics or ads. The updated page will name each tool or ad network, say what it collects, and explain your choices.
