Gadget247News writes guides that help you fix, set up and update your smartwatch, fitness tracker, smart ring, earbuds and headphones. This page explains where our facts come from, how we write, and how we keep each guide accurate after it's published.

Who Writes and Reviews Our Guides

Gadget247News is owned by Suraj Giri, our founder and publisher. Suraj reads every page and signs it off before it's published, and the site won't publish a page without that sign-off. He is the only named person on the site today. Read more about Suraj Giri.

What We Cover

We cover Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, Google Pixel Watch and Garmin watches, Fitbit and Oura Ring, and AirPods, Beats, Galaxy Buds, Pixel Buds, Sony, Bose, JBL and Skullcandy earbuds and headphones. For each device we cover connecting and pairing, charging, syncing, restarts and resets, updates, features and setup, plus news about updates, outages and recalls that affect owners.

We don't cover phones, laptops or TVs on their own. They appear only as the device your watch or earbuds connect to. We don't publish product reviews, "best of" lists or deals, because we don't test products. We don't give medical advice.

Where Our Facts Come From

Every fix step is checked against the maker's own documentation: Apple Support, Samsung Support, Google Help (including Fitbit and Pixel), Garmin Support, Oura Support, and the Sony, Bose, JBL, Skullcandy and Beats help pages. For Bluetooth standards we use the Bluetooth SIG. For recalls we use the CPSC and SaferProducts.gov.

We don't test fixes on physical devices, and we never say we did. We show you the official page a step comes from instead.

Some facts aren't on a maker's page, such as the day an update started rolling out or a problem owners are reporting. For those we use MacRumors, 9to5Mac, 9to5Google and AppleInsider, and we name the outlet on the page ("Reported by 9to5Mac"). A problem that only shows up in forum posts isn't published as a known issue. Rumors and leaks are labelled as rumors, or left out.

We keep our facts in one facts database, each with its official source and the date we checked it. A fact without an official source is marked unconfirmed. We drop it, or we rewrite the sentence so it doesn't depend on that fact. The site won't publish a page that still carries an unconfirmed marker. On the day a guide is published, we read its official pages again, and the page shows that date. How we verify fixes covers the full method.

How We Write

We give you the fix first, then the reason: a fix guide opens with the step most likely to work. We use the exact words you'll see on your screen, such as Settings, Bluetooth and Forget This Device. Each guide says which models it covers and, when the source gives one, which software version. We write in short sentences, one step at a time, and we explain any technical term we use.

Fix, how-to, tracker and news pages show a Verified line: the official page we used, the models it covers, the software version when the source gives one, and the date we checked it.

Health, Safety and Cost

• Health and fitness pages (sleep, steps, heart rate, workouts and GPS) explain how your device and its settings work. They aren't medical advice. If you're worried about a reading or a symptom, talk to a doctor.
• Recall and safety pages link to the official notice first and tell you what to do next. We never invent a recall.
• Repair and cost pages use prices and coverage terms from the maker's official page, with the date we checked them. Prices change, so confirm with the maker before you pay.

Updates, Dates and Re-checks

We re-check a guide when a new firmware or software version comes out for the devices it covers, when a reader tells us a fix didn't work, and at least every 3 to 6 months.

The "Published" and "Updated" dates change only when the content changes. A re-check that finds nothing new leaves those dates alone. Tracker and news pages also show a separate "Last checked" date, so you can see when we last looked. Our Update Tracker lists current software versions and known issues for each brand.

Independence and Funding

Gadget247News plans to be funded by display ads. At launch the site shows no ads. No brand pays to appear in a fix, we don't use affiliate links, and we don't publish sponsored posts. Advertisers will never choose which fix we recommend. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Samsung, Google, Fitbit, Garmin, Oura, Sony, Bose, JBL, Skullcandy or Beats. Corrections

If a fix didn't work for your model or software version, or something on a page is wrong, email info@gadget247news.com. We'll check it against the official source, fix the page, add a dated "Updated" note that says what changed, and record the change in our corrections log.

How We Use AI

AI tools help us research, outline, draft and edit, and they create some illustrations, which are labelled. A fact counts as verified only when it matches an official source page, and Suraj reads and signs off every page before it's published. Our AI use policy explains each step.
